2019: It’s whatever you want that will happen – Ooni of Ife tells Nigerian youths

The Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II on Tuesday charged Nigerian leaders to stop laundering and investing the money they make from Nigeria soil abroad, stressing that,”It’s not doing this nation any good.”

The monarch made stated that,”It’s a shame because the elders are not showing good examples to the youths.”

The Ooni enjoined leaders at all levels to remember to give back to the land where they made their money and wealth.

He was speaking at an event in Delta State.

According to the Ooni,”The land is green. This land is a blessing.

“Remember, the land is a spirit. Stop causing the land. The land is looking at you. The land is looking at you. The land that is blessing you, remember to give back to the land. Go back and bless the land. Let the youths take over.”

The Ooni noted that Nigeria as a country belongs to the youths and not to the elders.

The Ooni said the youths should begin to have the sense of ownership as well as rise up to claim that which belongs to them.

He stressed that the youths need education and.exposure to claim their entitlements.

“In this country, over 60% are under the age of 30 years. Very soon, the youths will stand to claim what rightfully belongs to them. Don’t let anybody deceive you. You own this country.

” If you say you don’t want to vote anybody into power,so be it. If you say you want to take this country to another level, so be it.

“If anybody wants to destroy this country, it’s the same youths they will go back to as agents of destruction. It is time we all come together and say enough is enough. Let’s give them time to go and rest. The youths of this country, please come and take your place.”
