BURNABOY KOBALT NEIGHBOURING RIGHTS SIGNS PARTNERSHIP FOR EFFICIENT COLLECTION OF ROYALTIES
Burnaboy Kobalt Neighbouring Rights Signs Partnership For Efficient Collection Of Royalties…
Its no longer news that Burnaboy is now an international artiste as holds the record of being the contemporary African artiste with the most remarkable international features. Since signing a partnership deal with Atlantic Records and Warner Music Group in 2017, he has gone on to become the first contemporary African musician to perform at the Coachlea Music festival alongside Mr Eazi and feature top international music acts such as Stormzy, Edsheeran, Sam Smith, Karol G, Sia, Justin Beiber, and many others. He has been produced by Diddy and Timberland, 2 top music producers that are respected for their craft internationally. And the big one, he holds the record of being the first contemporary African musician to perform at the Grammy Awards and the first contemporary individual African artiste to win a Grammy Award.
In all, i can proudly say Burnaboy is now an international artiste as he is now getting booked for international shows so he needs an international agency that is efficient at collecting royalties for the new stage of his carreer. To do this, Burnaboy has signed a royalty collection deal with Kobalt Neighbouring Rights ( KNR ), a firm that is known for its efficiency at collecting royalties. This deal makes him the 2nd Nigerian music artiste to sign this partnership as Mr Eazi is already benefiting from it.
Speaking on this new partnership with KNR, Burnaboy said the following:
“My music is global and I have toured the globe, I need my performance royalties collection to be on point, tidy, transparent, quick, not sure anyone does it better than KNR.”
His mum Bose Ogulu who doubles as his manager, has this to say about the partnership with KNR:
“When you manage an international artist whose music is constantly played around the world, it only makes sense to align with an efficient performance royalties collector with strong international reach… KNR.”
Michael Stinton KNR Business Development Manager said the following about Burnaboy and the partnership:
“Instantly recognisable, Burna Boy is one of the most influential and culturally important artists to break on a global scale over the last few years.
From a Grammy nomination for his incredible 2019 album, African Giant to a Grammy WIN for 2020’s Twice As Tall, Burna Boy has also seen global success with collaborations including Dave, Ed Sheeran, Stormzy, Sam Smith, Chris Martin, Jorja Smith, Jeremih, Future, YG, Justin Bieber – the list goes on!
We truly appreciate the trust that Burna and his whole team have placed in KNR to administer his global Neighbouring Rights.”
Congratulations to Burnaboy and his team. Wish them all the best as they keep taking African music to the biggest stages worldwide. Got anything to say about this? Let us know by commenting below. Thanks for reading.
