‘Football misses you a lot’ – Mohamed Elneny reacts as Sir Alex Ferguson leaves intensive care

The former Red Devils boss is out of an induced coma after an emergency brain surgery

Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny has sent a heartfelt message to Sir Alex Ferguson.

Ferguson underwent an emergency surgery on Saturday to treat a brain haemorrhage which kept him in critical condition for days.

However, on Wednesday, Manchester United confirmed that the legendary Scottish manager will no longer need intensive care after his health improved but he will continue his recovery as an inpatient at Salford Royal Hospital.

And Elneny has reacted to the health update of the 76-year-old who guided the Old Trafford outfit to 13 Premier League titles, two Champions League trophies, five FA Cups and four League Cups.

“Each and every moment fingers are crossed, waiting and praying for a fast recovery, we already miss you a lot, football misses you a lot,” Elneny tweeted.

The Egypt international is currently recuperating from an ankle injury he sustained against West Ham United last month and faces a race against time to prove his fitness ahead of the Pharaohs’ participation at the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia.
