Governor Udom visits Super Eagles, Pledges $10,000 for every Goal

Governor of Akwa Ibom, Emmanuel Udom has pledged to give to the Nigerian football national team Super Eagles $10,000 for every goal they score.

He visited the Super Eagles in their training camp in Akwa Ibom State as they prepare for the 2018 World Cup qualifier against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.

He said:

“We are here because there is nothing as good as appreciating people, especially when the people are working for the general good. A love not expressed is a love wasted and so we are here to tell you that we appreciate what you are doing for Nigeria.

“I also want to tell you that no matter how wild a cat is, there is a place you will hold it and it will not be able to harm you. Go there and win the game for us.”

Udom also redeemed his pledge of $30,000 to the Super Eagles for their 3-1 win against Algeria in a 2018 World Cup qualifier last year.
