Neymar’s Paris Saint-Germain teammate Kylian Mbappe has sent words of support to the Brazilian after he was forced out of Brazil’s Copa America plans.
The forward, who is also currently facing accusations of rape which the player already denied, fell injured in a friendly for the Selecao against Qatar in Brasilia.
“Sad news, brother,” wrote Mbappe on Twitter.
“I know how important this competition was for you, but you’ll come back even stronger.
“Keep smiling, it always makes you strong.”
The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) confirmed that the player had sprained his right ankle on Wednesday and, in doing so, ruptured a ligament.
