Another generous birthday bash is in the works from the grime MC
Stormzy is taking a load of fans to Spain with him for his birthday.
The grime MC has previously invited fans to celebrate his special day with him in 2016 when he rented out Thorpe Park for 200 friends and fans.
Now, the award-winning musician has announced details of his plans for 2018’s #StormzyBirthdayBash. Posting on Instagram, Stormzy wrote: “My gs… #StormzyBirthdayBash 2018, renting out Thorpe Park was sick but we’ve teamed up with @spotify #SpotifyPremium and upped the levels to throw the maddest birthday bash. THIS WILL BE A MOVIE. We’ve done the madting.”
A poster revealed that fans would need to be able to travel to Spain from London on July 26, returning the same day. Fans must also b 21 or over and have a valid passport and be eligible to travel in the EU.
To enter for the chance to attend, fans should send their name and Instagram and Twitter handles to firstname.lastname@example.org. No further details about what the day will involve have been released at present.
Meanwhile, Stormzy recently attended Adele‘s Titanic-themed birthday party, where he treated the singer to a surprise performance. “WORDS WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH FOR THIS CAPTION BUT #TBT to the best night of my entire life,” he wrote on Instagram later. “Came out and surprised my friend Adele at her birthday party. If you know me you know what this meant the absolute world to me. BEST NIGHT EVER.”
The MC also announced the launch of his own publishing imprint #Merky Books earlier this month. He will be taking submissions and running competitions to find young writers, while the first book to be published will be called Rise Up: The #Merky Journey So Far.
