For the annual survey of the Best Business Schools in the World, thousands of professionals around the world who have had experience employing people with MBAs were asked and after scrutinizing their report with other online platforms we present to you the best business schools.

Respondents rated the reputations of graduates from top business schools around the world on a scale ranging from mediocre to excellent (1 to 5), with excellent ratings used as a tiebreaker. We included responses only from professionals who at least half the time said they have experience hiring people with MBAs, as well as other filters to improve the group of respondents.

The 10 Business Schools In The World

#1. Harvard University

Rating: 4.34 out of 5 based on the reputation of its graduates.
Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts

US News & World Report ranked Harvard and Stanford tied on its list of best business schools in the United States. But our readers declared a definitive first place, giving the title to no. 1 last year to Harvard Business School. It was close, as Harvard beat Stanford by a .04 percent margin. Almost 60 percent of those surveyed rated Harvard as excellent, helping the school maintain first place.

#2. Stanford University (Stanford Graduate School of Business)

Rating: 4.33 out of 5 based on the reputation of its graduates.

Stanford stole the top spot from Harvard in 2012, but it fell short of No. 1 for the second year in a row. Still, nearly a third of those surveyed rated Stanford very good, while only 24 percent gave Harvard those grades. Additionally, this school is more selective than Harvard’s, accepting 6.8 percent of applicants, compared to Harvard’s acceptance rate of 11.3%.

#3. University of Pennsylvania (Wharton School)

Known for its undergraduate business program, one of the most selective in the United States, the school jumped nine spots compared to last year. Students also benefit from the largest global alumni network of nearly 100,000 graduates. Only 2% of those surveyed rated Wharton as mediocre.

#4. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Sloan School of Management)

Rating: 4.09 out of 5 based on the reputation of its graduates.
Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts

According to the school, more than 92% of MBA program graduates received job offers within three months of graduation, including invitations from notable companies such as Amazon, McKinsey & Co., and JPMorgan. The school was ranked on the 4th position of the best business schools in the world.

#5. University of Chicago (Booth School of Business)

Rating: 3.94 out of 5 based on the reputation of its graduates.
Location: USA / China / UK

This institution claims to base its studies on the most scientific disciplines of the same, such as accounting, economics, or statistics, to ensure that this  will help students  to “better define problems, ask better questions and develop better solutions.” They are specialized in postgraduate and master’s degrees,  although you can also access to take a basic training course. It has campuses in Chicago  (USA),  Hong Kong  (China), and  London  (UK).

#6. Columbia University (Columbia Business School)

Rating: 3.83 out of 5 based on the reputation of its graduates.
Location: New York, New York

Columbia may have dropped two spots on this year’s list, but it remains steady on the US News list. Columbia operates on an entrepreneurial philosophy and offers several resources for budding entrepreneurs, from mentors to discount memberships in New York co-working spaces.

#7. Northwestern University (Kellogg School of Management)

Rating: 3.79 out of 5 based on the reputation of its graduates.

Kellogg offers a global program, as it has five colleges around the world: in Hong Kong, Tel Aviv, Toronto, Vallendar / Koblenz, and Beijing, of which 85% of the student body takes advantage of during their study. Kellog also offers an intensive one-year MBA degree.

Rating: 3.61 out of 5 based on the reputation of its graduates.
Location: Hanover, New Hampshire
